TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY OF UNIFORMS

  • Tenders are invited for the supply of Uniforms (Clothing and Shoes/Boots) for members of staff of the National Conservation Commission as follows:

180     Pants for Male Ranger/Wardens

117     Hats for Rangers/Wardens

480     Short Pants for Lifeguards

70        Swimsuits for Female Lifeguards

717     Shirts for Maintenance and General Staff

633     Pants and skirts for Maintenance and General Staff

13        Overalls for Maintenance Staff

200     Suits for Caretakers

40        Overalls for Caretakers

20        Overalls for staff assigned to the Plant  Nursery

25        Shirts for Park Naturalists & Boat Operators

15        Pants for Park Naturalists & Boat Operators

05        shirts for Messenger/Driver

03        pants for Messenger/Driver

63        pairs of steel tip boots for Artisans and General Staff

26        pairs of boots for Drivers and Truck Assistants

100     pairs of steel tip boots for Lawnmower Operators and other selected staff

  • The successful tenderer for uniforms (clothing) will be required to take the measurements of employees, fit and alter where necessary.
  • Details of the items required can be collected from the Commission’s Head Office, Codrington House, St. Michael Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30 pm.
  • Tenders may be submitted for all or any of the uniforms. Tenderers for uniforms (Clothing) must submit their tender, swatches of material from which they propose to manufacture the uniform. Tenders for Shoes/Boots may submit a sample of or photograph of the item. These must be appropriately labeled according to the description and with the tenderer’s identification.
  • Tenderers must be prepared to offer proof of their ability to undertake and complete the work for which they have tendered to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors of the Commission.
  • Sureties for the performance of the contract will be required in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the value contract.
  • Tenderers should be aware that tenders should be submitted in accordance with the International Labour Organisation Convention NO: 94 Labour Clauses (Public Contracts) 1949The Labour Clause (Public Contracts) Act 1952-12 in so far as they area applicable to the tender. Full details of the condition of the ct (1952) can be obtained from the Chief Labour Officer, Labour Department, National Insurance Building, Fairchild Street, Bridgetown.
  • Tenders should be submitted in ‘Sealed Envelopes’ marked ‘Tender for the Supply of Uniforms or Tender for the supply of Shoes/Boots’ and should be addressed to the Chairman, National Conservation Commission, Codrington House, St. Michael to reach him no later than August 26, 2011.
  • Tenderers must submit with their tenders, certificates from the Commissioner of Inland Revenue and the Director of National Insurance Department indicating whether or not there are any outstanding payments due to those authorities by the tenderer.
  • All prospective tenders must include a certificate from the General Manager of the National Conservation Commission, indicating that there is no indebtedness to the Commission on their part.
  • No tender will be considered unless it complies with the conditions in this notice and the Tender documents.
  • The National Conservation Commission does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
