Gain Access to the UK Market

The Export Development and Promotion Division of the BIDC will be hosting a Workshop on Wednesday June 8th, 2011 from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.  at the BIDC.  The workshop is targeted at exporters under the Market Development Programme and potential exporters interested in exporting  to the UK.

The workshop will be facilitated by the BIDC’s UK Market Access Representative, Mr.  Peter Martin and our major UK Importer, Mr. Alexander Douglas of Dees Caribbean Imports.  To enlighten you about the benefits and challenges of exporting to the UK,  some of the topics to be covered are:

 1.   Product suitability
2.   Market Demand
3.   Marketing/Promotion of products
4.   Timely and consistent supply of products
5.   Pricing
6.   Ingredients/allergens
7.   Packaging
8.   Long term business planning for export
9.   New product development
