The Small Business Association recently launched a new logo design and slogan as part of its rebranding initiative started earlier in the year. The association further introduced an expanded programme for its annual signature event, Small Business Week 2011.
According to the CEO, Ms Lynette Holder, the new look logo is part of an effort by the local representative body for SMEs to offer a corporate image that embodies the vision, mission, values and overall global focus of the organization at present and in the future. “Change is the one constant, and the association must embrace change in its positioning strategies to remain relevant at all times to our stakeholders”, Ms Holder added.
Attendant to the new look is the accompanying slogan – Building Networks; Creating Wealth. This slogan further emphasizes the focus of the association in drawing on the strategy of networking among members in a multi-dimensional manner so as to leverage all available resources for the growth of the sector. Wealth creation has been added as part of the new thrust to underscore the significance of small businesses in the economic enfranchisement of the local citizenry. Ms Holder confirmed that SMEs remained a pivotal part of the continued development of Barbados and must be encouraged to see their role in a holistic manner.
The launch of Small Business Week 2011 featured the Scotia Bank as title sponsor for the fourth year running.
