EIA Reaches Another Milestone

The Barbados Small Business Association’s pilot project, Enterprise in Action (EIA), is a youth focused project. This project encourages students at both the primary and secondary level to view entrepreneurship as a viable career path. The schools which are part of the project are Alexandra, Coleridge & Parry, Garrison Secondary, Princess Margaret Secondary, Springer Memorial Girl’s Secondary and one primary school, Roland Edwards Primary.

Thus far six consultants, from amongst the members of the Association, have initiated the training of the students. The business skills learned by the students are expected to provide the foundation for the business project which the students will plan and implement.

The project has generated much interest within the schools as students and teachers alike are very interested in enterperneurship and are quite eager to learn as much as possible.
